Under EB-5 program, investors are eligible to apply for lawful permanent residence (become a Green Card holder) if they: 

  • Make the necessary investment in a commercial enterprise in the United States; and
  • Plan to create or preserve 10 permanent full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers.

The minimum amount for investing in a targeted employment area (TEA) or rural area is $800,000 U.S. dollars per investor.  The amount is $1,050,000 U.S. dollars per investor in other areas. 

  • Invest in Regional Center 

An EB-5 regional center is an economic unit, public or private, in the United States, involved with promoting economic growth. The USCIS designate regional centers for participation in the Immigrant Investor Program.

Each regional center investor must demonstrate that they invested, or are actively in the process of investing, lawfully obtained capital in a new commercial enterprise located within a designated regional center in the United States.The investor must also demonstrate that this investment will create at least 10 direct or indirect full-time jobs for qualifying employees.

  • Invest in a non-regional center business

An immigrant investor not associated with a regional center must demonstrate that they have invested, or are actively in the process of investing, lawfully obtained capital in a new commercial enterprise located within the United States that will create at least 10 direct full-time jobs for qualifying employees.
